I was born in an island in South Korea called Jeju Island.
I went to the United States of America and attended school there from Grade 1 to Grade 5 in Texas and South Carolina.
I went back to Korea for Grade 6 to 8, and came to Canada in Fall 2016 to attend High School and University.
I am currently a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Waterloo seeking graduate school opportunities.

- Developing a CNN-transformer combined architecture for classification on T1-weighted brain MRI images of response to neuromodulation treatment
- Developing an algorithm to classify impulsiveness using intracranial EEG data
- Developing a product for closed-loop auditory stimulation to enhance sleep quality and improve cognitive function in home environments by increasing slow-wave sleep oscillations for children with epilepsy
- Designing cognitive testing games in Python to measure the quality of sleep of patients as a validation metric of the closed-loop stimulation

- Architected EEG Brain-Computer Interface to play Flappy Bird with alpha/beta waves as input
- Built verbal communication system with steady state visually evoked potentials and OpenAI text completion API
- Designed and constructed analog circuit to amplify/filter brain waves in the 8-32Hz range
- Processed signals on Raspberry Pi using Python to apply FFTs, calculate signal power, visualize data, and build interfaces
Naruto Hand Sign Classifier

- Developed a hand sign classification machine utilizing image detection through TensorFlow
- Utilized transfer learning through VGG16 and MobileNetV2's pre-trained weights from ImageNet
- Leveraged MediaPipe for hand landmark detection to localize segment for classification
- Ultimately achieved a 93.60% accuracy on test dataset and an 83.33% accuracy on live demo
